Geography Major (B.S.)
Liberty University’s Geography program offers a spatial and interdisciplinary understanding of the physical, cultural, and economic phenomena that affect the Earth and the distribution of human activities. The major will provide an assortment of qualitative and quantitative geospatial tools and skills to help you find your place in the world.
Program Learning Outcomes
The student will be able to:
- Analyze geographical concepts and themes using both quantitative and qualitative information regarding spatial data on micro and macro scales.
- Assess the role of space and its use in the development of cultural, physical, economic, social, religious, and political systems.
- Apply geographic concepts and tools in problem solving from local to global scales.
- Evaluate geographical concepts and research necessary for global engagement through a Christian worldview.
