Applied Statistics Major (B.S.)
Purpose
The Bachelor of Science in Applied Statistics major provides knowledge and training in statistics, statistical programming, and for any employment requiring substantial data analysis and mathematical techniques. Students are trained in the most widely used statistical software and equipped with the mathematical background for devising statistical solutions to real-world problems.
Program Learning Outcomes
The student will be able to:
- Demonstrate an understanding of the ethical imperatives of statistics through a Biblical worldview.
- Apply principles of probability and statistics to address real-world problems.
- Use technology to perform statistical analyses.
- Design experiments using statistical methods.
