Aviation Maintenance Technician Major (A.A.)

Aviation Maintenance Technician Major (A.A.)

In an effort to meet the educational needs of students who want a university degree, but who do not desire to complete a four-year bachelor’s program, the School of Aeronautics offers the Associate of Arts Degree Aviation Maintenance Technician. This two-year degree program combines courses in the major program of study with General Education courses and other graduation requirements.

Purpose

The purpose of the Associate of Arts in Aviation Maintenance Technician major is to train pilots, as well as non-pilots to maintain aircraft in the context of a faith-based missionary organization; however, training is also applicable to those pursuing other careers in general, corporate, and commercial aviation.

Program Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of the Associate of Arts in Aviation Maintenance Technician or Aviation Maintenance Technician Certificate program, the student will be able to:

  • Apply Biblical principles in the aviation maintenance environment.
  • Solve aviation maintenance issues and problems individually, and within a team environment.
  • Apply science, technology, and mathematics in the area of aviation maintenance.
