Unmanned Aircraft Operations Major (B.S.)

Purpose

The B.S. Unmanned Aircraft Operations degree at the Liberty University School of Aeronautics uses cutting edge technology to equip, mentor, and send Champions for Christ into the UAS industry. Through partnerships with industry, students will fly both multirotor and fixed wing UAS of various sizes and gain real world experience while still being a student. Currently, the UAS program has alumni working all over the UAS industry including General Atomics, General Dynamics, Textron Systems, UPS Flight Forward, and Duke Energy.

Program Learning Outcomes

The student will be able to:

  • Apply biblical principles within the unmanned aircraft industry.
  • Apply science, technology, and mathematics to unmanned aircraft disciplines.
  • Promote a healthy organizational safety culture in the UAS industry.
  • Apply policies, regulations, and procedures to UAS flight operations.
