Purpose

The Graduate Certificate in Hebrew is designed to provide a focused examination of biblical Hebrew. Students interested in focused work in exegesis or Bible translation would benefit from this program. Students are trained in the basics of biblical Hebrew with a historical-grammatical approach to interpretation in view.

Program Learning Outcomes

The student will be able to:

• Apply insights from grammatical and syntactical knowledge to interpreting the text of Scripture.
