Master of Arts in Applied Ministry (M.A.)

Master of Arts in Applied Ministry (M.A.)

Purpose

The Master of Arts in Applied Ministry program prepares individuals for a variety of ministry positions within church and parachurch settings. Careful consideration is given to the influence that the gospel has on life, work, and ministry endeavors. The degree takes a three-pronged approach in educating its majors in the foundations of Christianity, principles and practice of Christian ministry, and additional non-Divinity specialization.

Program Learning Outcomes

The student will be able to:

  • Articulate a biblical rationale for formational gospel-centered ministry that draws on the literature of the disciplines as they relate to biblical ministry principles.
  • Apply key integrated principles, skills, and strategies necessary for ministry implementation and leadership in contemporary ministry settings.
  • Explore formational ministry principles and strategies that relate to the modern-day ministry practitioner.
