Forensic Science Major (B.S.)

Purpose

The Bachelor of Science in Forensic Science major prepares students for careers in federal, state, and private forensic laboratories through a strong emphasis on biology, chemistry, and criminal justice. Students benefit from hands-on practical laboratory exercises, opportunities for internships in local and national labs, and program faculty with substantial real-world experience to share.

Program Learning Outcomes

The student will be able to:

  • Apply standard and principles of safe practice in the laboratory or field environment.
  • Understand ethical issues in the life sciences in light of a biblical/Christian worldview.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of fundamental forensic science concepts.
  • Conduct, analyze, and summarize forensic science research.
