Biomedical Sciences Major (B.S.)
Purpose
The Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences major is designed to provide the knowledge and laboratory skills to prepare students for medical and related professional schools, graduate programs, and employment in the biomedical sciences. Courses are taught from the biblical worldview, to encourage a deepening of the student's faith as their scientific knowledge grows.
Program Learning Outcomes
The student will be able to:
- Apply standards and principles of safe practice in the laboratory or field environment.
- Understand ethical issues in the life sciences in light of a biblical/Christian worldview.
- Demonstrate knowledge of fundamental biological and physical science concepts.
- Conduct, analyze, and summarize medical or molecular research.
