Purpose

The purpose of the non-licensure Certificate in Preschool Education is to provide students with a foundational knowledge of preschool that will prepare them to positively impact the lives of children. This non-licensure certificate is intended to better equip instructional assistants, paraprofessionals, and other school employees to serve students in preschool settings.

Program Learning Outcomes

The student will be able to:

• Plan effective instruction using a variety of differentiated instructional strategies to accommodate diverse developmental levels.
