Journalism Education Certificate
Purpose
The purpose of the Certificate in Journalism Education is to provide an option for teachers who are currently licensed and desire an add-on endorsement to teach journalism courses in grades 6-12 or teacher candidates who are enrolled in any teacher preparation program that leads to initial licensure who desire to teach journalism courses in grades 6-12. This licensure certificate leads to a Virginia add-on endorsement and is intended to prepare teachers to serve in Journalism classrooms.
