Purpose

The Certificate in Accounting is designed to develop the skills needed for individuals who are interested in a career in accounting for business transactions. The program develops proficiency in accordance with the governing bodies of the discipline. The program develops basic proficiency in business and the practical application of theory used to work with complex accounting issues is emphasized. The program develops an ethical approach to analyze and appropriately deal with accounting issues from a sound moral and biblical perspective.

Program Learning Outcomes

The student will be able to:

  • Understand the accounting treatment of business transactions in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and a biblical worldview.
