NURS 844 DNP Practicum V (2,4 c.h.) may be repeated in order to allow the student more time to complete the required practicum hours. Students are able to re-enroll with the approval of Nursing Department and enrollment must not exceed four times

NURS 948 Scholarly Project I (1 c.h.) and NURS 949 Scholarly Project II (1 c.h.) may each be repeated twice to allow additional time, if needed, for the scholarly project

Graduation Requirements

  • Complete 41 hours
  • A maximum of 50% of a post-graduate and doctoral degree may be transferred if approved and allowable, including credit from an earned degree from Liberty University on the same academic level
  • 3.0 GPA
  • No grades lower than B may be applied to the degree
  • Successful completion of 560 Practicum hours1
  • Degree must be completed within 5 years
  • Submission of Degree Completion Application must be completed within the last semester of a student’s anticipated graduation date

Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) requires all DNP students to complete at least 1000 practicum hours post-BSN. Students must complete at least 560 DNP practicum hours; additional hours may be required to support the 1000 hours post-BSN depending on the number of practicum hours considered from the MSN
