NURS 948 and NURS 949 may each be repeated twice to allow additional time, if needed, for the scholarly project.

NURS 843 may be repeated in order to allow the student more time to complete practicum hours. Students are able to re-enroll with the approval of the nursing department, and enrollment must not exceed three times.

Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) requires all DNP students to complete at least 1000 practicum hours post-BSN. Students must complete at least 560 DNP practicum hours; additional hours may be required to support the 1000 hours post-BSN depending on the number of practicum hours considered from the MSN

All applicable prerequisites must be met

Graduation Requirements

  • Complete 36 hours
  • A maximum of 50% of a post-graduate and doctoral degree may be transferred if approved and allowable, including credit from an earned degree from Liberty University on the same academic level
  • 3.0 GPA
  • No grades lower than B may be applied to the degree
  • Degree must be completed within 5 years
  • Submission of Degree Completion Application must be completed within the last semester of a student’s anticipated graduation date
