Public Health Graduate Certificate

Purpose

The Graduate Certificate in Public Health will prepare students for service in population health related fields. It will equip students to assess the health of a population with a focus on the development of interventions necessary for addressing health concerns. Students in this program will be given the skills and foundational competencies necessary to enter this field with vision for how public health can become a pathway for holistic health, as we are called to practically  serve our neighbors with Christian love.

Program Learning Outcomes

The student will be able to:

  • Determine population health status, needs, and resources using appropriate assessment and analytical methods.

  • Health Educator
  • Community Health Program Planner
  • Program Evaluator
  • Worksite Wellness Program Administrator
  • Health Coach
  • Employers such as Local Government, State Government, Federal agencies such as OSHA, FDA, CDC, etc., Health Agencies, NGOs, Community-Based Organizations, and Hospital settings.

Some of these positions may require Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) certification, which students will be eligible for after completing this program and passing the certification exam.
