Industrial Engineering Technology Major (B.S.)

Purpose

The Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering Technology major prepares graduates with knowledge of systems design, components, and processes that meet specific needs within a broadly defined set of engineering problems for careers in industrial and technical management. The program prepares graduates for the thoughtful integration of work and life and to view the Industrial Engineering Technology profession as a lifelong commitment to serving others. 

Engineering Program Learning Outcomes

The student will demonstrate:

  • Recognize ethical practices of the discipline within the context of a Christian worldview.
  • Apply knowledge, techniques, skills and modern tools of mathematics, science, engineering, and technology to solve broadly- defined engineering problems appropriate to the discipline.
  • Design systems, components, or processes meeting specified needs for broadly-defined engineering problems appropriate to the discipline.
  • Apply written, oral, and graphical communication in broadly-defined technical and non-technical environments; and an ability to identify and use appropriate technical literature.
  • Conduct standard tests, measurements, and experiments and to analyze and interpret the results to improve processes.
  • Function effectively as a member as well as a leader on technical teams.
