Engineering Technology Major (B.S.)
Purpose
The Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology major, focusing on Industrial Automation and Robotics, equips students with technical knowledge and practical skills for industrial automation and robotics. The curriculum combines theory and hands-on experience, preparing graduates for modern industrial environments, who will be ready to design, develop, and maintain industrial automation and robotic systems, contributing to technological advancement and innovation across various sectors. Engineering Program Learning Outcomes
The student will be able to:
- Apply knowledge, techniques, skills and modern tools of mathematics, science, engineering, and technology to solve broadly-defined engineering problems appropriate to the discipline.
- Design systems, components, or processes meeting specified needs for broadly-defined engineering problems appropriate to the discipline.
- Apply written, oral, and graphical communication in broadly-defined technical and non-technical environments; and an ability to identify and use appropriate technical literature.
- Conduct standard tests, measurements, and experiments and to analyze and interpret the results to improve processes.
- Function effectively as a member as well as a leader on technical teams.
