Focused on the foundations of healthcare informatics, students will gain an overview of the information, resources, and technologies in healthcare. Topics include but are not limited to healthcare information systems infrastructure, enterprise architecture, applications, data management, information security, telehealth, project management, and emerging technologies. Students will examine major theories supporting healthcare informatics, understand its application in supporting decision-making, and recognize its importance in the provision of effective and efficient healthcare.
